This was created for my Photography project, which was based on my process of a painting. I took photographs of things I would normally incorporate into a composition. So yes, all of the things you see on the canvas are things I've taken from pictures I took. I'm very happy with the result because it's 100% original.
A huge thanks to my friend, T.H., the guy on the left who put up with my weird request to model for my project. I really owe him for the success of the project and satisfaction of this piece.
The title is a bit of a play on English and Japanese words. Don't worry, it's not super important to know the meaning.
Oh, I didn't know there was such a word as akisame. I only knew about Harusame^^ But seriously, this is awesome. It looks very polished and well-planned, it could be an illustration in a magazine or for an ad! I really like the word-rain, btw, very creative!
Aha! Someone understood it. That makes me happy. XD I only knew about, "harusame" too, but then I thought, "...Maybe there's an akisame??" And indeed, I found it in the dictionary.
Thank you very much for the comment! The word-rain was actually not preconceived... I originally just had random newspaper cut-outs, but I didn't like it. So for photo-taking, I went to a store to find some inspiration and saw some curtain design that had geometric weather representations. Hahaha.
This is one of my favorite things you've done now. I love all the textures and the word rain and the fishes swimming in the blue. This project feels very well thought out.
This piece really cought my eye in your gallery! I LOVE the abundance of textures and details~it kinda reminds me of those lovely artists' scrapbooks that you rarely come across you definitely have a great eye for colour and composition ^_^
Aw, thank you very much! I definitely like this style and I want to keep doing this kind of artwork. I'm glad you like it and textures are so much frikkin fun!! @_@
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!

Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
